I was born in 1964, a great year for Mini , winner overall of the Monte Carlo Rallye.
My oldest memories revolve around Minis, At the time my dad was running a Mini dealership in Portugal, I remember him driving home every other night with a different one.
Before I was 3 years old, my dad sat me on his knees and let me drive all kinds of coopers, mokes, pick-ups and vans.
I spent my preschool years in the Mini parts department or in the shop, getting parts for the guys or laying under a car.
By the time I was 7, I was already performing some work on the Minis.
My first Mini was purchased when I was 16, it was a black 1970 Mini van with a bad engine, needless to say, within a year that baby had a new crate motor under the hood.
It was soon to be followed by a British Racing green/white top Innocenti 1300.
I graduated from a technical college in Paris, France and since then worked on all automotive field areas, restoration, racing, and more, but never lost my passion for the Mini.
In spring of 2005 I decided to open Mini Works, an internet business and a shop for both the classic and the modern Mini Coopers.
Since January 2007 we have expanded our internet business, and will be serving the European market thru our new stores located in Paris, France and Porto, Portugal.
